| A Benefit Concert Featuring Homeward Bound With Special Guest Josh Combs
Our benefit concert on Friday October 3, 2003, held at Faith Baptist Church in Waterford was a huge success. With about 300 people in attendance, a blessed time was had by all.
A free-will love offering was taken, and a total of $3,800 was collected for ALS and Wes's family! Much to our surprise and delight, Pastor Jim Combs and the people of Faith Baptist Church paid all of Homeward Bound's honorarium, travel, lodging and meal expenses! Additionally, Homeward Bound donated 100% of the evening's T-Shirt, CD/Tape, and all other merchandise sales to Faithfully Forward. We learned a valuable lesson - no matter how much you do, you can never out-give GOD!

Faithfully Forward's Silent Auction/Dinner Dance held on Friday, October 17th, 2003 in Pontiac, MI featuring a special reunion appearance by SOUND IMPRESSION was responsible for raising nearly $60,000 for Wes and his family. As of October, 2005 nearly all of this benefit money has been used for Wes's ongoing need for his homecare and durable medical equipment needs.
The family just received a letter from Michigan Dept. of Human Services (DHS) that effective November 5, 2005, state Medicaid benefits will no longer be provided for Wes and Sharlene.
